Hello and happy Friday. Here is another photo from the "You Know You Are In Minnesota When" series. In the previous case, I knew I was in MN when I could get my hunting and fishing licenses from the service counter. In this case, I know I am in Minnesota when I can buy lefse from the local chain supermarket.
I like it rolled up with butter and sugar and maybe some cinnamon sprinkled on it.

Oh, I am sooo jealous. Being a Norweigan (dad's family is from North Dakota)- we have to make our lefse and I suck at it. Imagine: being able to buy it in the bread aisle! I like mine with peanut butter and a thin layer of jam... a "grampy" sandwich from my youth. He didn't understand a PB&J, so that's what we got.
ReplyDeleteI've never had it. Don't disown me, OK?
ReplyDeleteI'd never even heard of lefse before I moved here from Southern California, but my husband's family is from Finland/Sweden so he threatens to make some for me.
ReplyDeleteTotally not on topic but check this out... hooded scarf.
